Just want to say a big hi to everyone. I'm new to all this, only ever used a compact and being a bit of a gadget freak I wanted an SLR, so I've gone way over the top and got a K7 with 18-55mm WR and 50-200mm WR lenses as my first!!!!! Only got it yesterday so not had chance to play yet, but today its raining so I'm off out for a play!!!

Welcome and congrats on the new purchase. Thats a giant leap forward in equipment and this is a great place for info. Look forward to seeing some of your pics

Amazing to have weather sealed lenses for your first SLR, and a great price too I bet. That was one of the reasons I joined Pentax, when shopping for my first SLR the K10D was the only weather-sealed camera at a good price. The K7 is a mighty capable camera to have kit lenses on it, but I used the K10D with kit lenses for a couple of years too, and the Pentax kit lenses are better than others.
