Hello from Western Colorado

Hello from the high desert in Western Colorado.

I used Olympus Film Cameras for many years (OM2N, OM2S) and switched to the Pentax K100D a couple of years ago. Then I couldn't pass up the price break on the K20D. The lens I use most is the Pentax 18-250.

I find the 18-250 to be stuck on my K200D most of the time also.

Welcome to the site.

Hey Toad. Welcome to the forum. You're getting a lot of camera for your dollar with the K20. Enjoy using it and being a member of the forum

So it's you!! I used the moniker Toad for years on music forums I belonged to, then one day I tried to register as Toad on another forum and was told that name was already taken. Went to another forum and got the same message. It happened several times, so eventually I changed to my favourite marsupial (but my car's still called Toad, even though the Cane Toad is Feared and Loathed in Australia). So it must have been you! Well, as one croaker to another, "Reddit, reddit!"

Welcome.

Sorry about the long time to reply to this thread -- I only found the thread the other day??!!
My moniker comes from the "term of endearment" my wife chose for me shortly after we were married (33+ years ago). Words like "dear, sweetheart, darling" just didn't fit us.

Ah...western Colorado...
I am stationed at Fort Carson in the Springs...I cannot wait to get back! Like my grandpa used to tell me: "When good Texans die they go to Colorado."
Welcome!
