Hello from Turku (bo) in Finland

I've been lurking here for some time now, but now it's time to introduce myself.

I'm a relatively recent Pentaxian, I bought my K10D in September 2007, but I have produced images since the early 90s (no masterpieces, mostly snaps). Went digital in April 2000, got my first DSLR in October 2005 and went partly back to film again in late 2008.

Nowadays my camera bag is stuffed with a K20D and the DA16-45/4 and DA50-135/2.8 lenses. Traded my K10D earlier this year for an MZ-S, which is normally fitted with the FA35/2. Some manual focus bodies have materialized here in the recent weeks; an MX, a Spotmatic II and yesterday a P50.

Personal info about me, I work at the Swedish university in Turku and is an active member of the photography club there, Pictura. Married, but no kids. Hobbies include collecting stuff (including cameras, but not restricted to Pentax), enjoying malt whisky and boardgames.

Hello there Thomas in Turku- I used to fly a lot to Helsinki Vantaa and the designated alternate airport was always Turku:-) As never actually been there I always wondered how does it look like in Turku? Whiskey? Good interest I've been to Scotland (in Aboyne 50Kms from Aberdeen) three times and the first occasion I've managed to stay for six months...you can imagine. What else... I also have a 16-45 and I love it. Welcome aboard!

Well I do hope you enjoyed your visit, I'm about 14 miles West of Inverness, so you weren't that far away.
