new from Atlanta Georgia

I have been following the Forum for 6 months and with information from the PentaxForums and other web sources I decided to purchase my first DSLR a K2000 with 18-55mm kit lens and a Pentax DA 40mm f/2.8 lens. I have old m42 screw-mount Takumar lens 10 total from 28mm to 500mm. I started with an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic in the early 1970s. In the past I had a very well equipped darkroom and did film and print processing. Now I will learn digital photography and digital post processing, a formidable task. Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new camera. You have lots of company here with all your Taks.

Welcome to the forum Chris. I'm down by Hartsfield and have been shooting just a little longer than you. Started out with a used SV and bought a new SP II in "72. I'm now using everything from an AP to a K10 but I don't have quite as many Taks.
