Bonjour/Hello everyone !

Hi,

Didn't know about this forum til this summer but I have been a Pentax photographer (on and off) since I was a kid of 6yr old.

Started off with my Dad's LX and Kodakchrome (snif RIP) on family vacations.
Then Started again when I used my dad's istD when it came out and finally got a K10D for myself.

I still have lots to learn and relearn and hope that this forum will allow me to do that.
(any interesting stuff to take pictures off in the northern virginia area ??)

Hope you enjoy your time on the forum - and your K10D.
Just go ahead and take pictures of everything - the way you see it...

Welcome David,
As an ex-patriot of NorVa all I can say is if you don't know what's interesting to shoot there (and you live there) define your interests first. Its a big area. There are a number of NorVa members wondering why you aren't down at Great Falls, or in the District at the monuments and museums, Front Royal and Skyline drive only an hour away. Or just go ride the Metro into the Washington Navy Yard in SE and wave your cam around yelling $50 to the first guy who can take it away from you. That should generate some interesting shots if you can shoot while running backwards...fast.

Please post those shots if you do.

Ok, got some good ideas yet? But seriously, welcome to the forum and hope to see some posted shots from you soon.

6 years old? Christ, where have you been hiding?

What is interesting to some people may not interest you. I'm sure you will find may things to photograph once you have the view finder near to your eye.

Welcome to the forum.
