Hi from Tsawwassen, BC (Canada)

Hi,

I've got to confess that I'm a Canon digital shooter, but as I have 2 Pentax Film Bodies (well, 1 is a Ricoh) and 11 PK-mount lenses, I guess that makes me more of a Pentaxian

I was at the 'big' Canon forum before, but I found it to be full of the worst style of photography. All backbiting about technical deficiencies of pics posted etc. Sure, we've all blown highlights or soft focused from time to time, haven't we?

Anyway, you guys seem more friendly... at least you seem to be on here to share your love of the photographic arts!

Maybe I'll post some of my pics (once I figure out how to scan Negs without a transparency adaptor) :P

Welcome here keyser.
Life's too short to be nitpicking at every minor detail. To me, we shouldn't be on a ratrace to 'beat' others with their photographic prowess.

Constructive critique is always good, and I too have found this forum quite generous with providing it, given my amateur background...
There's certainly lots of passion here, and although there won't be too many award-winning images coming through, there's lots of opportunity for learning and skill-sharpening.

Look forward to your contributions.

prepare yourself to be destroyed. if you post a very unacceptable photo, rest assured that it would be dealt with a short and frank criticism. if you insist that your photo is good, even if it's not, you will be vanquished. well, that is just me.
