Just wanted to join some fellow Pentaxians who are enjoying there Pentax as much as I am

I am a proud owner of a Pentax K 10D. I'm now waiting for the arrival of my Pentax Kx and just can't wait to try it out!!! Would love to hear from othes about their favorite Pentax...lens...and subject to photograph. Most of my photos are of birds or horses and an occasional landscape. Hope to hear from you. In the mean time...

Thank you to all who have welcomed me! This seems like a friendly forum where I can learn and grow as an armature photographer. I have so much to lean about using a dslr...after coming from a digital point and shoot. Someone asked me to post some photos here and I'm not quite sure how so I'll just place one inside this post. I'm not even sure how to reply to each of you individually so I hope this will be seen by all who replied to my post.

This site has grown from scratch to hundreds of active users logged in all the time, and the moderators and the owner are still as nice as ever, that's not how other forums act once they become "big".

Just learned how to share my photos from someone named Marc in the forum...so I hope this works. Thanks for the warm welcome from all the great forum members who've replied to me so far! I'm rather new at using a dslr because my first dslr was my Pentax K 10-D and I dropped it on the cement along with the DA 55-300 lens that was attached. They're both damaged so I didn't get to use it as much as I would have liked. This is also the reason for the Kx purchase. I have so much to learn and thought this would be a great place to learn and grow. A very expensive leson I've learned is don't carry your dslr slung around your shoulder!

Nice shots! you should post these in the "Post Your Photos" thread. There are many bird shooters there. (Non-leathal camera shots of course

)

Sorry to hear about your K10D and the 55-300. It hurt me just to read what happened to it. I'm sure you'll love the K-x though, especially with the higher resolution and the improved ISO. Those bird shots will be nice and crisp!

Thanks Allen...still learning my way around here. Sorry for the late reply...I work at a hospital and we're short handed right now. Sure doesn't allow me much time for anything. On the bright side it helps me be a lot more patient while waiting for my new Kx to arrive. lol

Thanks Tom...and yes I am a birder...albeit a very amateur one. However this seems like a great forum to learn!
