All,
Hello, I am from east/central Illinois. For ten years or so I was a professional photojournalist, working for three small dailies in the state. I have owned and killed many Nikon cameras in that time, through the sheer volume of film used in those cameras. I still have most of my manual focus kit from days of yore, and added some auto focus lenses as well as a Nikon D200 to the lineup which I use.
Today I have a "day job" but still hang onto a small studio/event photography business.
My passion, however, is shooting with antique cameras. I have a bunch of 'em, a pair Ricoh and Mamiya M42 tanks from the late '60's. I also have a Crown Graphic and a pre-annie Speed.
I also perform the duties of an itinerant photographer from the 1860's, and attend living history events as a wet plate collodion artist. My camera is a repro 1/2 plate square bellows camera, with an original 1860's era petzval lens. My website, which needs a winter upgrade, is
Tintypist.com Steve Ingram Photography if you care to take a look.
I acquired a Honeywell SPII. I am trying to zero in on the date of manufacture, and I posted my question in the SLR forum.
After many years of shooting film and scanning, I will be setting up a darkroom again to do some printing. I have a project in mind, and the SPII will be the focus. So that is why I am here
Take care, and have a great day!
Steve
