Thanks for the Friendly Welcome!!

I have been skulking around this forum for a little while now and am truly glad to have signed on!
There is an incredible amount of information from pros' and amateurs alike.
I am a serious amatuer and hobbist though I find my photographic skills being put to task more and more as my work changes.

My history with Pentax goes back to my days in Southeast Asia (1974-1976) with the climax of Vietnam and points forward till about 1999 when I started to play with digital.

I have owned many digital cameras of the point and shoot catagory and all have left me wishing for more ( more akin to what I cut my teeth on: Pentax, Yashica, Minolta, and other 35mm film cameras).

About March of this year I became serious about advancing my craft with much higher quality equipment.
DSLR's had been way to pricey and problematic to even consider for me untill the advaent of the K20D and even the D90 Nikon.

While I plodded along and decided to make the plunge with Pentax again with the K20D, dealers were selling out as I was attempting to purchase.

After further study I thought that it might be nice to have the latest and greatest from Pentax so I sprung for the K-7. I don't think that I made a mistake and even got the Camera at well under list and only slightly more than they are selling for today.

It was a close call between the Nikon D90 and the K-7 but the K-7 one out on published features and rugged build. Not to mention that I could still fully use all of my old glass. I did purchase the new 18-55 WR lens too by the way.

Anyway, that is where I am at with this and I am looking forward to learning much and maybe even teaching a thing or two as I progress!

Thanks for the Forum and welcome!!

Congrats on your purchase ProAudio, and welcome to the club.
The D90's fine as well, but there's a certain charm the K-7 has and I'm sure you're finding the same as you shoot with it.
Enjoy your setup, and beware of LBA!
