Hi All. Hoping Someone Here Can Help Me!

Hi everyone,

I discovered Pentax Forums and the Sears Lens Club while searching for information on a camera lens I recently found stored in the back of a closet. I believe it originally belonged to my father who passed away in 1961. It's a screw-on lens that reads: Sears Auto Lens 135 mm f:2.8 201287. The lens came in its own zip-top case with a shoulder strap. The top of the case and the lens cap both have what appear to be an atom symbol. Both appear to be in great condition.

I'm hoping someone here can provide me with some background on this lens. I'm not a photographer, so I'm looking for general info. Is this a good lens? What applications would it be best used for? What might it be worth if I was to sell it?

I'd also like to compliment everyone here for the amazing quality of the photos I've seen while surfing Pentax Forums. There are clearly some very gifted and creative photographers posting photos.

Best to all. And thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

To bad Monica you are not a photographer! But if you like the forum, you can stick around for fun...and perhaps one day become one !
