Greetings from Northern Utah

Greeting from the Junction City or Ogden, Utah. I have been an almost photographer for over 26 years but rested mostly for the last 5. I retired 2 years ago and find I have less time to pursue my hobbies than ever before. I just purchased my first DSLR and haven't been this excited since my very first camera. I am absolutely thrilled I found this wonderful forum. There is a lot of great information here that I had no idea I needed to know about. Thank you, each and every one of you.

Now, since this is the first day of 2010 I want to wish all of you a happy and healthy New Year. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this forum.

Welcome, fellow "mountain man". This forum is one of the great finds on the web. I am certainly very happy that I found it when I finally purchased a digital SLR. After shooting SLR since 1960, I had a very hard learning curve to go digital. This forum got me going.

Iris, you will be interested to know the sea lions at Fisherman's Wharf have been leaving and they don't know why.

Yes I have read that! It's quite big news that even in the Netherlands this was a news item. It must say I was surprised by their enormous amount.

Update:
....just read that they are now in Oregon!
