My name is Jason and I have been reading through this forum for a few months until I recently purchased my first DSLR. I have not been very serious about photography for several years and I used to shoot with a Nikon EM 35mm. I am very excited to get back into it and I am extremely happy with my Pentax K-x (white).

I have lived in Seattle for just over 5 years. I have traveled all over the country and a bit of international travel as well. I like to shoot macro, wildlife, travel, and urban.

One of the main reasons I decided to go Pentax was the lens compatibility as there are a couple vintage lenses that I really like. I am trying to find a Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm f/2.8-4 v1 or v3. That was my favorite telephoto that I used with my Nikon and I have not seen many current lenses that impress me as much as that did.

I am looking forward to getting to know some of you on this forum and possibly even meeting up with some of you in the Northwest for some photography outings.
