Hi there!

I've been floating around for a few weeks now. Didn't get a chance to introduce myself so I'll take the time to do so now.

It seems that the hip word to assist ones self reasoning for taking up one of the most controversial careers and or hobbies in life would be the "catching of the photography bug". As far as bugs go this one has stuck with me since the age of 11. I started out as a pretty young pup (not pretty as in attractive, I guarantee you that). It all started in the days of film and a Praktica MTL3 with a Vivitar 50mm f/1.4 lens. My mum, an inspiring artist taught me the basics of photography and I took it from there. Today I shoot a mixture of digital and film using Nikon cameras (changing soon). My particular genre of photography (aviation) is a bit of niche and one that requires supplementing through the coverage of portraits, landscape and wedding photography. I thoroughly enjoy and practice all these genres with great passion. I have works published in Combat Aircraft, Pilot, Canadian Aviator and locally in stores/libraries (upcoming exhibit in Oct. 2010).

I hope I can be of assistance to anyone here and feel free to drop me a line at any time.

Happy New Year and the very best for the 2010 photography season!

Dan.

I'll just get the ball rolling a bit.

Here's a few landscape stuff I've had published. Alberta Tourism.

*I took this one with the incorrect settings, forgot I had the ISO on 800, thankfully it remained very useful and came out extremely well.*

A few aviation ones.

*The blobs aren't sensor dust, its actual dust, does that make sense?*

Nothing spectacular but relative to their requirements.

There's a bunch more stuff on my site. Feel free to provide some feedback. Would be great to hear some criticism.
