Hi everybody.
I am afraid that I am a reluctant member!
I had to get a camera to put some photos onto a website - I have no other reason to have one. So I went to a supermarket and bought the Optio E-80 for 70 EUR. , relying on the Pentax name for quality. When I got it home and opened the box I was astonished to see that it had no charger. When I turened it on I discovered that the batteries were about 24% charged. I saw that it has a USB connector and assumed that it would charge as well as connect. I also spent 10 EUR on rechargeable batteries. The USB doesn' charge fronp the PC.
It also has a car cigar lighter connector. Not much use to me, I use my car connector for my GPS.
So I looked on the web for a mains charger because the manual tells me without apology that I have to buy Mains charger AC-62.
AC-62E can be found on the web, but not AC-62. Are they the same thing? The AC-62E will cost me 50 EUR.
So my 70 EUR camera is going to cost me a total of 130 EUR. I think that this is sharp practice.
