New to DSLr and forums

Hi everybody
I'm happy to have found these forums. I'm new to the DSLR thing and awaiting the arrival of my K-x. Ordered from Amazon the 2 kit lens for $644 - sounds like a great deal - I'll see once I get it... My primary interest will be shooting birds. I currently have a K1000 with a few lenses. Digital will be all new to me though. Lots of great info being shared here - thanks for that.
