Hello from frigid western NY

After lurking for a few days, I've decided to jump in. I don't actually own a Pentax just yet, but I plan on purchasing on K-7 within a couple weeks.

I had a 35mm SLR back about 15 years ago, but haven't used it since digitals came out. Since then, I've only used point-and-shoots. But I feel they're starting to hold me back and I really want to jump in a top-notch DSLR.

I love how Pentax is so much bang for the buck. And I love it's "underdog" mystique.

I look forward to sharing with all the great peeps on here as soon as I get my camera!

Welcome to the forum. There is a lot of help here. I'm still learning about my K10, though having had it for over 2 years.
The K7 is very tempting as well

The K-7 is a fine machine and should inspire you in your passion for photography quite profoundly.
