Hello from Dave - editor of Geekanoids

Hello Everyone

I have been frequenting this forum for a couple of weeks now and forgot to post here.
Thanks to all who have answered my questions so far.

What do I do?
I am the editor of Geekanoids and also have a tech channel at

I test kit all day, love technology, computers, cameras, anything remotely gadgety. Over the past few years I have tested lots of photographic kit and just this year have started doing a lot more in-depth tests.

Why am I on the forum?
Well, to be honest, almost all of my review kit ends up going back to the manufacturer who lends it to me. This year I decided that it was time to spend some money and buy a camera that I can master. I came to this forum to ask some questions about the Kx and K7... one of these, plus a smaller camera (P&S or M43) will be on my shopping list this month.

Thanks again to all who have communicated with me.

Hi welcome to this forum,
I hope you will enjoy it!

Kx and K7 are both fine cameras, I decided to go for the K-7 (weather resistant was for me a must)!

I have taken my k-x into two Canadian winter storms now... no trouble... weather resistance is over rated.... now hi ISO in low light, priceless... talk to me in a few months when my k-x dies in a spring rain and I might be interested in buying my own k-7 ;p

welcome is what I am saying... formally...
