Greetings from Taiwan

Although I am posting from Taiwan, my birthplace and home of residence is in Minnesota, USA. I plan on being here another 2 or 3 years, then back to the tundra.
My first Pentax, around 1979 or so, was an MX with a 50mm f1.7 M lens. Over the next few years I added 3 more lens and an LX with the replaceable top-view eye piece for the view finder.
I shot mostly B&W and Kodachrome. Processed my own B&W film and prints.
When I desided to get into digital Pentax still did not have a digital SLR and the other manufacturers where to expensive for my budget. So I slipped away for about 4 years with an Olympus C2100 which gave me the illusion of an SLR.
In 2007 my wife gave me permission to get a new digital camera. I debated between the K10D and the K100D. After discussing these, by wife encouraged me to go with the better camera. Believe it or not the Li-ion battery was the swing feature and I have not regretted it.
Last year I added a DA* 50-135mm lens. In spite of its weight it is by far my favorit lens.

Taipei 101, the tallest building in the free world is aswsome. I'll try to post my New Years fireworks from them sometime soon. They have some beautiful parks, which sense I don't live in Taipei, can't remember their names. It is now one of the cleanest cities so lots of good city-scape shooting. In Taipei they inforce traffic laws pretty tight but in other parts of the country try to find an entire family riding one scooter.
