waiting on my first dslr k7

Just joined but have been visiting and reading for a while, Its been a great help in making up my mind to buy K7 should have by end of week and i just cant wait this will be my 1st dslr and pentax. Just sold my canon 1N and wanted to make jump into digital. Do have FZ18 point & shoot but not enough camera. Thanks again for all the great info i have received here, Rick

Wellcome here. You'll find, as I did, that this forum is a rather nice place with funny people and helpfull information.

Care to share with us what made you go Pentax? Specially since you had a Canon SLR before.

My 1N shutter stopped working at around 50,000 shots my eos before had the meter fail so there was no way i would buy another cannon. I all so wanted a weather sealed body as i shoot in a cave were roof is always dripping never brought cannon in there so it would not be dripped on and nikon d 300s was just to much money and i dont think they have sealed lens any ways. plus the pentax lens have such a great reputation and seem like the best value. Next lens i purchase will be 50-135 f2.8. Thats the reasoning thanks Rick
