Hello from Bay Area, CA

Hi all,

New to SLR's and Pentax - I expect my K-X and lenses to show up this week. Very excited and am hoping I don't personally run into any of the K-X problems widely discussed here.

I have to admit that after all of the reading, it makes me wonder if I made the right choice in buying the K-X right now! We'll see. I plan to do some extensive testing to see if I have any issues that I can't live with (while I have the 30 day exchange window).

Anyhow, I can see this is a great forum...warm regards to all.

~ JB

Don't expect it to be magic right out of the box. It's a tool, you have to learn how to use it. Plus, you're going to want a faster lens to appreciate how great night time pics look.

I love my K-x.

I don't think you will be disappointed with it. But, as dragonfly said, be patient with it.

Don't do too much testing, as it can just take away some of the fun. Go out, shoot & enjoy yourself. Good luck and welcome to the forums.

Sorry to bring back an old thread but I was looking for a san jose / Bay area group and found this thread but no other ones. Can you point me in the right direction please? Thanks
