Hello from Oklahoma

Hi all. I am a newbie that has just some decent point and shoot cameras before. I am looking to buy and really like the looks of the K-X. I am probably going to buy in May. i found this forum and really enjoy all the discussions. I am really looking forward to getting my hands on the camera and using it. We are planning a trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon in June. That is where I will really get to play with it.

Welcome to the forum. That sounds like a great trip. From everything I've read, the K-x is a great camera.

Welcome to the forums. Sounds like a great reason to buy a new camera. It's probably the best value for money on the market today.

Those are 2 nice locations. The Eiffel Tower has a nice view from the top, as does the Stratosphere on the northern end of the strip.

About 45 minutes NE of Las Vegas is Valley of Fire State park that I really liked. Short hikes in and around amazing rocks.

Not far to the SE is Hoover dam that is a must-see.

I did a 3-mile down, 3-mile back hike on Bright Angel trail at GC. It took about 6 hours, including the sitting and panting. No way to get to the river and back in one day though.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I am looking forward to the camera and the trip. I know I have a lot of learning to do on the camera before I go on the trip. It's going to be a learning curve. Again thanks and any suggestions are greatly welcomed.
