Now Sweden enters the forum

Hi, I am an old engineer, now retired, who has had Pentax cameras for many years. My first one was a Spotmatic F, which I bought second hand in the sixties. Later I fell in love with the ME-serie, but it was way too expensive for me then. By chance I found out resently that old analogue cameras are very cheap today if you buy them on the net. So I now have a couple of ME super, with winder, date back lid, flash and some lenses. They take good pictures, but after thirty years or more in use they need some overhaul. I found through this forum some very good service directions, and I am now eager to try to bring my ME super cameras back to perfect operating conditions.

I have checked prices for used old Pentaxes also in other countries like Germany and Italy and found that offered prices there are much higher than in Sweden. If you find anything of interest on sites like Blocket.se - or tradera.se and the seller won't send abroad, I'll be happy if I can be of any help to you. Please contact me through this forum.

Apart from all this, I also fly radio controlled helicopters.

Welcome, helibosse. This is a nice Pentax community with lots of knowledge. There are actually already quite a few Swedes here (I'm not one of them, utan snarare en finnjävel ).

Lucky you with the cheap film bodies I don't believe they are cheap enough in Australia yet.

I'm sure you have a lot to contribute to the forums Bo.

Just an example. Two weeks ago I bought a ME super house + winder + a 50 mm Pentax lense and a 135 mm Takumar lense and I paid 51 USD. Everything works, but I'll buy a kit from Jon Goodman in Texas to make sure that the camera body doesn't leak light.

Nice deal for sure! I am surprised, since when I was in Sweden it wasn't exactly what I would call inexpensive.
