French, travelling, curently in Australia !

Hey there !

So as I said I'm french and love to travel, that is the main photography I do ! I'm now in Austalia for a couple of month, will travel to Vanuatu soon and will eventually land in South America in awhile.

I've been a pentax user for 3 years now and just switched from a K100D to K20D. The two lens I mainly use are a sigma 10-20 and a pentax 55-300, but I couldn't express a preference, these are so different ! I'm looking to enlarge the family with a Tamron 28-75 that seems quite good and would be suited for traveling I think.

Going right now to this forum, if you have such a lens and don't really use it, it would be a pleasure to help you with that... ;)

See you !

Jérôme

I would think the Tamron 28-75 would be very good for travelling.

Welcome in Jerome and I look forward to seeing some of your travel shots.

Hey, Jerome!

Where do you think you're headed in South America?

And what did you do--win the Lottery?

Hey again !

I would have liked to won the lottery Ira ^^ I was working back in France and I'm studying for a semester here with a loan from the bank.... that I used too intensively so will have to work here after this Vanuatu trip, that is in 10days now Australia is a good hub to visit those countries, I've find some really bargain flights !

I have a 2 month break after this semester so would like to reach Peru for a humanitarian project, if you have any contact on the mater, I'd be glad to hear it

Yeah fractal, I would think that too, but I'm afraid I won't find one on time :/ Would be great to hear what you think, I still got to edit a lot so I'll post when it's done, hopefully by the end of the week !

Thanks eaglem ! See you all guys,

Jérôme

I don't know anything about Peru--only Venezuela. (My wife is from there and I've spent a lot of time in that country.)

But I would suggest you consider CHILE!!!

Not only are there probably all sorts of humanitarian projects going on after the earthquake, but because it runs so long down the coast., you get all of the climates, elevations, topography, food cultures, etc.

It's also not screwed up like so many countries down there, like Venezuela.
