Hello everyone

, My name is Kyle and I'm from America, just moved to beautiful Sydney Australia and have been here for about 5 months now. I have just recently purchased a Pentax kx, and I'm thrilled with it, I'm a rookie at shooting but I'm catching on very fast. I happy to join such a fine group and hope to learn more and more everyday. Looking forward to speaking with you all

Welcome to the Forum - it's a great place to get good advice on your Pentax gear, and how to use it.

Read widely (some people have an opinion on many things, and aren't afraid to express it) and ask lots of questions: you'll find it a valuable resource.

I'm not sure if Peter has the right group here - we are in Adelaide - which is nice for us, but hard to get to if your in Sydney

However, I think theres one group your way thats much closer PentaxForums.com - Sydney Pentax Users Club - and it has some notable Aussie Pentaxians who I'm sure would help you in your Pentax journey.

The other thing is to join a camera club as I did (with the encouragement of one of our SA Pentaxians). Thats a learning curve and well worth it too.
