Hello from Cape Town South Africa

I am new to the forum. Started with Pentax in 1962 and my old SV still in use today. Took delivery of a k-7 recently and have a question regarding sound playback in movie mode. Playback is very soft regardless of volume setting. Speaking directly into the mic is about the only way to hear playback. Faulty mic?
I would appreciate some advice. Stephanus

Welcome to the forums, I don't have a K-7 but this doesn't sound normal. I know my K-x is very sensitive and does a decent job of capturing sound withing 10 feet or so.

Maybe try plugging in a Mic if you have one that fits. See if there is a big difference.
