Started digital by buying Canon, and oh... oops, not as good as expected. Lot's of electronic failures, errors, portraits handheld by diffuse daylight not sharp. Switched to pentax K20D about 2 years ago and ohh, what a dreamcamera to use. I love my Pentax, specially in combination with 50 mm AF 1,4 and my 100 macro. My work is lifestyle, food, travel, creating an atmosphere by using daylight often. After many years in studio it is nice to work with a handheld camera and have such good results. As far as i know on ly Pentax digital has that... filmfeel, that 50, 100 mm have that special smooth bokeh.
Antishake in the camera lets me make diffuse light photo's and have sharpness and depth of field. Portraits or stills handheld and tacksharp are not possible with Canon. At the studio we also Use Canon DSLR tethered shooting on capture pro. But for myhandheld shots Pentax rules !!
I live near Amsterdam, our capital of Holland. Advice for amateurs who take photography serious... Only shoot in Raw mode. Tata ! René
My friend and have recently started getting into medium format with -guess- a RZ67. Composure of a scene is nothing like with digital!
