Newbie Jo

Hi Everyone,
I'm a newbie to Pentax and to K200D.
Which I feel I have a degree after so much reading on this model.
It seems the K200D is the most suitable camera for my needs and in my opinion the best camera in the world ie without taking the awesome prices that some cameras ask.
The K200D is so like a camera you would want. It has all that you would need and none of the things you don't. Yes, I know "live view" is an in thing, available with the K20D and a lot of newer, more expensive cameras but do you need it??? Give anyone a camera and the first thing they do is hold it to view finder not look for a live view. Don't need it aye?
Do you want a video camera or a DSLR camera with a video? Seriously lets get it right. I'd like a 3" screen with 920 000 dots but that will come in the K300D.
This is my baby and I'm that sort of guy, this is me.

Jo

My k200d has served me well and I plan to keep it for a good long while. It's sturdy and has everything you need to get started with photography. Good choice going with the K200.

Hey guys,
Love that Pentax K200D Proud Owner banner.
Do you earn that, buy it or get it somehow?
Thanks for the great welcome.

Hi LurchLarson,
How did you get the "Pentax K200D Proud Owner" banner for your post?

Jo, Welcome to the forum.

Just copy the banner. A lot of them were put together by one of the Administrators for the use of the members. Every one in my sig came from someone else.. Then edit your profile and in the area where it says SIG (or signature) you can put just about anything, including the banner.

Welcome to PentaxForums! Whether your interest is dSLR & lenses, film photograph or digital, medium (6 x 7, 645, and 645D) format, subminiature (110), or collecting vintage bodies & glass (Spoties, Taks etc) or a combination of the above, you are at the right place. I'm looking forward to seeing some images. BTW, there is a Social group for the K200d.

Jo, If you want to show a Photo, first, I think it works best if it's a JPG and second, for your post to read (and upload) a photo from your hard drive, you need to Attach it... Such as...
