Pentax makes the AF360 and AF540. The 540 has more power, and the head swivels and tilts so you have a bit more control over the lighting.

The Pentax flashes have some compatibility features that may be missing on some less expensive generic brands.

Welcome to the forum. There is a wealth of knowledge here that will surely help you out. Since you just purchased the K-x I would suggest that you take a look at the DSLR section as there is a lot of help there. Hope to see you around the forums!

Welcome to PentaxForums! Whether your interest is dSLR & lenses, film photograph or digital, medium (6 x 7, 645, and 645D) format, subminiature (110), or collecting vintage bodies & glass (Spoties, Taks etc) or a combination of the above, you are at the right place. I'm looking forward to seeing some images. Australia is well represented here.
