New buyer.

I'm looking to purchase a K10D or K20D. What do I need to start out?

Thanks!

That and you might also want to go over to the Beginner forum for the what should I buy type posts. Be prepared for answers like IRA's though (even if he's right) .

Welcome aboard!!

Welcome to the forums. That's a tough question to answer. Like what do you want to shoot? What have you used in the past?

A good starting point is the Kit lens 18-55mm (version II is best) and then it's other lenses or a flash etc. but you would need to outline the types of shots you want to get first before we could answer that question.

Yes you need money to get a body and at least 1 lens.

Welcome to PentaxForums! Whether your interest is dSLR & lenses, film photograph or digital, medium (6 x 7, 645, and 645D) format, subminiature (110), or collecting vintage bodies & glass (Spoties, Taks etc) or a combination of the above, you are at the right place. I'm looking forward to seeing some images.
