Hi

Just joined. I hide my head in shame when I admit that for years I have been a total canon nut. The other week we purchased a K7, primarily expecting to sell it on but its lovely, I am really impressed.

Have not shot anything yet on it but intend to today. I shoot portraits for a living and I recon it might well be ideal

Welcome to the forum. There is a wealth of knowledge here that will surely help you out. Since you just got your K7 I would suggest that you check out the DSLR section if you have any questions on your new camera. I hope to see some photos from you soon.

Whether your interest is dSLR & lenses, film photograph or digital, medium (6 x 7, 645, and 645D) format, subminiature (110), or collecting vintage bodies & glass (Spoties, Taks etc) or a combination of the above, you are at the right place. Welcome. I haven't been a member here all that long myself, but I've already learned tons and have tried a lot of new stuff. I, too, have a k-7, and I love it. It's a great camera and I imagine you'll love it too. Post some of your shots when you get them

There's no reason to be ashamed about your Canon history. Hell, some people on the site don't even own a Pentax camera.

Anyway, welcome in & enjoy your K7.
