Hi from Spain ;-)

Hi,

I've been using my beloved K10D for more than two years and it serves me well, I'm still amazed of the size and the quality of the camera.

I tried to collect fine primes but since I'm tired of cleaning the captor due the lens change, I'm considering moving to zoom. Moreover I like to capture moments on the go, and sometimes I lack time to change the lens.

Anyway, the K10D rules!!!!

Mokona

Hi Mokona! I was in your beautiful country two months ago, though down in Andalusia so I didn't see you. But what a great place to eat and drink!

Can I ask how do you change your lenses? I make sure the camera is facing downwards when I take off a lens, so gravity works to keep crap out. And I have the second lens ready with the cap loose, so I can just pick it up and put it on in a few seconds. Though I will admit that sometimes I fumble a bit.

I also have sensor shake turned on, so I get the thunk each time I power up the camera.

Doing this with my K20D I rarely need to clean the sensor. When I do I use the Arctic Butterfly, which is an electrostatic brush. A few sweeps seems to work to get any little dust off the sensor. (They have several models but just buy the cheapest one -- they are all fundamentally the same.)

This would be an unfortunate reason to give up using your lovely primes.

Hi Rparmar,

I love Andalusia, I've been there a couple of weeks ago for the holy week, and it is really nice.

And of course food is excellent, there are not much places in Europe where they offer you free food (like hamburger, gambas, etc) everytime you buy a drink.

Thanks for you advice! I'll try to keep on

by the wy, where are you from ?

Hi Jackitec! thanks for you greeting!

Would love to go there for Holy Week, with all the costumes and cultural displays!

And free food with a tapa... yes, still happens in Granada! Though maybe elsewhere you have to pay it is always worth it. And with drinks under two euros it is so much cheaper than here it's not funny.

Where is here? Limerick, on the West side, but not the coast, of Ireland. Quite a place of strange energies both dark and light.

Welcome to the forum! Your K10D is indeed an excellent camera and its cool to see that you just joined the forums. My teacher is from Spain and she says that it is a beautiful place, so if you could post up some pics soon I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Cory

I've recently bought the Tamron 17-50/2.8 zoom and can highly recommend it as an alternative to the kits lens.

Welcome to PF.

When I was talking of Andalusia, I was thinking of Granada!! I've been there!! I should have looked for other Pentax users!

Thanks to all for you greeting, I almost feel I'm already part of the family
