Hi,

I'm a happy newcomer on this forum. I would like to thank all members for their posts and reviews. They helped me to choose my Tamron 28-75 lens as my first photo newbie lens 3 months ago. So big thanks and big hello to you all!

But whether your interest is dSLR & lenses, film or digital photography, medium (6 x 7, 645, and 645D) format, subminiature (110), or collecting vintage bodies & glass (Spoties, Taks etc) or a combination of the above, you are at the right place. I'm looking forward to seeing some images.

This post to tell you I sadly dropped my DA 40mm limited this morning (1 meter from the the tilling). It was my favorite prime lens. Now it is scratched and the focus ring is blocked. So, your welcome cheers me up a lot.

I will value my Tammy even more!

Sorry to hear from your misfortune with the DA40. Perhaps it can be repaired.

I spent one summer holiday in the Auvergne. Stayed in a nice town: Bourbon L'Archambault.
A very enjoyable region. It was just 10 days so, we merely "scratched the surface".

To complete my welcome, I made some shots with a Pentax 85mm f/2.8 soft focus lens (here). Critics and comments highly appreciated

PS: Good news: I sent my 40mm limited to the Pentax customer service and I persuaded my wife to accept a replacement if necessary.
