Yes, that's right! Winnipeg! And just for the record, I love this place!

So I've just purchased a K-x along with the 18-55 and 55-300 lens and am looking forward to putting it through its paces. Hopefully it wont disappoint! It shouldn't, right? Because its a Pentax! I guess I'll soon find out.

I'd also like to mention that this site was a very useful resource when I was shopping around for a new camera and it greatly influenced my decision to go for the K-x. So thanks to the PentaxForums community. Much appreciated.

Anyway, I'll go back to playing with my new baby. She seems to be calling out to me.

shahnc, Welcome to PentaxForums. But whether your interest is dSLR & lenses, film or digital photography, medium (6 x 7, 645, and 645D) format, subminiature (110), or collecting vintage bodies & glass (Spoties, Taks etc) or a combination of the above, you are at the right place. I'm looking forward to seeing some images.

Maybe you're the one I saw at the Forks with a K-x. In fact, that's the only one I've seen in these parts!

Nah, wasn't me then. Spent all day yesterday at Assiniboine Park. Weather wasn't the greatest but the K-x sure was. Now that you mention it, I should head down to the Forks next weekend.

Yep, that's Assiniboine Park. I prefer the train track out of the two shots. I've taken a ride on that train a few times in my life.

We really are lucky to have the beautiful green spaces and parks in Winnipeg and beautiful landscape so close by.
