newbie from AZ, saving for a K110D

I'm trying to learn as much as I can before I actully get my camera, which will be a while, I have to save up. If anyone wants to sell me theirs I'd be glad to hear it, lens and anything else relating too. And if anyone has advice for a new photographer I'd love to hear it!

Welcome to the board. I would save up a little bit more for the K100D instead of the K110D. The extra $50 or so you pay for the SR feature is well worth it.

I second this welcome and opinion. I just bought my first SLR, a K100D and I've shot over five hundred photos (in one week) getting to know it. I've done multiple A-B comparisons (with-without shake reduction) and there IS a difference, especially with longer exposure times when compensating for poor lighting. Just my $.02. I'm sure you'll be happy with either camera.

Just check around the site and I think you'll find that is the consensus of opinion. SR is the way to go. As a matter of fact I don't think the K110D is in production anymore, at least not for the US market. Current SLRs are the K100D, K100D Super (September 2007 I think) and K10D.
