Hello from Poland

Hello everyone,

My name is Tomasz Kos and I’m from Poland. Three months ago I purchased my first DLSR – black Pentax x-k. Earlier I had Minolta Z3, and I did photos occasionally, it wasn’t fascinating me. I thought that image quality is good – comparison to photos from friends cameras. But when I saw photos from my k-x I was surprised how big different in quality it is. Then I started make more and more photos. I started reading books about photography and now it becomes my main hobby. I join to this forum, when I was searching 50mm lens for sale. Then I discovered how many intresting information can be found here.

Welcome Tomasz! You made a good choice in camera!

With the KX, you can buy an inexpensive adapter that allows you to use M42 screw mount lenses, like the old Pentax Takumars.

But, being in Poland, you can also find great Russian and other Eastern European lenses, like Helios, MIR, Jupiter, etc. for CHEAP.

Now I can add that I'm author of PK_Tether - software for tethering Pentax cameras.

The automatic translations doesn't work that great, your message in Polish makes perfect sense, in English - not so much

Also hello from Poland.
Started photo adventure in 2002 with Zenit XP12 strapped. 1,5 year ago bought Pentax K-x and MZ-S. Now changed K-x to K-7.
