Just stumbled on this site whilst chasing info Spotmatics, I have only just discovered photography. I have always taken pictures, but now I think about it all the time and guessing suitable appeture and shutter speeds for the current lighting wherever I am.
My father was always carrying one, or two cameras and tripod everywhere. He usually had one loaded with colour slide film and the other a low ISO colour print. Finally I have followed in his footsteps, and he has been loving showing me some of his photography mainly from the 60's and 70's.
I bought a Nikon D40X a few years ago for a trip to europe and that planted the seed and recently purchased a Spotmatic SPII and love it! It has made me much more aware of appeture and shutter speeds having to do it all manually, and have noticed my photos taken with the 'cough' Nikon have improved since owning the legendery Pentax.
Hopefully people on here still shoot in film and I can pick your brains and learn as I haven't had a proper look around this great forum yet.
Regards, Ben
