I've noticed that authors no longer appear under threat titles in search pages.
Anyone else see this change?
If so, is it deliberate?
I valued seeing the authors of the threads and now have no idea who start them until they're clicked on.

OK, so I'm not imagining it - they seem to come and go intermittently.

A-ha ! So I'm not crazy.

The web sysadmin in me will guess that PentaxForums is hosted on a cluster, and that not all the members of said cluster are in sync.

This should only be the case in our Articles section, in which removal of the author was indeed deliberate. If it's happening for other searches, then we might have a problem somewhere. Could you post some screenshots please?

This bug has now been corrected. It only affected searches done while while browsing the articles.

Thanks, it indeed seems to be solved. I'm a bit puzzled because I have not browsed the articles, however.

That's strange. Out of curiosity, what page were you on directly before initiating the above search?

I don't think it matters as far as functionality goes, however, as I've reworked the template conditional to completely ignore searches.

I usually access PentaxForums directly to the "New posts" search, from a bookmark of "https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/search.php?do=getnew"

In that case, $forumid would be undefined, and indeed no username would have been shown.

Now, we use $thread['forumid'], which is always defined.
