Children are a super subject, but consider this...especially as you are in the US...ever catcha glimpse of a parent in the US when you dare to take a picture of their kid(s)? I swear every parent in the US seems to have been brainwashed to think anyone taking photos of kids is either a pederast or looking to do a snatch and grab of their kid. Sad but true so if voting for that theme (and I think I would because I agree it's a great theme) remember to ASK parents or whoever for permission, give an explaination as well as offer them a free copy of the shots along with a business/calling-card.

I am aware of that and wasn't suggesting someone run down to the playground and start taking pictures of strangers children. That could be a dangerous idea.
What I did say was, if you don't have children of your own, you know someone who does. Implying you would know the people you were dealing with and having their permission to photograph their children.. But thanks for pointing that out, it's not a good idea to photograph other people's children without their consent in advance.

• Multiple Emotions - not just anger, or just enthralled, but a picture that has at least 2 or more emotions
• Comparisons - this seems broad, it doesn't matter where you live, what your hobby is, or what your favorite subject is

Only suggesting and seconding a single theme will be tough if really great themes are thought up late in the game!

Seasonal theme kicks us southerners out...or is the plan to 'divide and conquer'? Hmmm...

I like some room to interpret within the theme. So things like 'overlooked' or 'contrast' work for me.

In this vein, my suggestion.

"Human, All Too Human"

Fine for most subjects (even automotive and kiddy)....hey, even the nature lovers can get a guernsey here....if they can play on the anthropomorphic bent ...just a little commentary on the human condition.
