I would like to suggest a very topical subject for today :

HUMANS AND THE ENVIRONMENT.

I am disappointed to see some suggestions that give little consideration to the rest of the world (e.g. American Dream)?
Come on, some of us live on the other side of the world to the USA.

Similarly, Specific Seasons and Snow.

I have never seen snow, let alone be in it or photograph it. And I am over 60 years of age.

Lets think of ALL eligible participants.

I second the "travel" suggestion since it is that time of year, and perhaps rename it to the more evocative JOURNEY.

I would like to suggest 2 themes:
Public Transportation - buses, trains, taxis, airplanes and so on, as well as rails, bus routes etc.
The second theme would be Shutter Speed: 1 second or slower. any photo, that answers this criteria would be eligible.

photographers of all trades (consumer as well as pro) taking pictures using their photo gear ...

of course it's a rather tough topic for two basic reasons above all:

1. people, especially photographers, may not like their faces be seen in other photographers pictures publicly

2. camera brand names and / or models, if visible in the final image, may not be suitable for a Pentax forum's competition ...

but since this is a contest for and run by B&H that deals with most camera brands out there, then maybe the second problem is not that much of an issue after all.
