Status of database update

I'm working off the list provided in post number 5 as time permits.

Here is the status:

Tamron Adaptamatic:
Not researched. I suggest these do not belong in the Adaptall section.

Tamron Adaptall primes:
All are in the database with consistent naming and with photos and data.

Tamron Adaptall-2 primes:
All are in the database with consistent naming and with photos and data.

Tamron Adaptall-2 SP primes:
All are now in the database with consistent naming and with photos and data.

Tamron Adaptall zooms:
Now in the database with consistent naming, photo and data.

Tamron Adaptall-2 zooms:
All are now in the database with consistent naming and with photos and data. I can neither find data nor a photo of model 59A. Does that lens exist at all? HELP!!

Interesting tidbit: Model 58A of which we feature user images is also not to be found on the Adaptall-2.org site!

Tamron Adaptall-2 SP zooms:
All are now in the database with consistent naming and with photos and data.

Tamron Adaptall teleconverters
Not done.

Tamron - Pentax mounts:
Not up to date yet.

The entries will eventually be sorted, but that's a tedious, manual process.

Until then you can use the feature that allows selection by first digit of the focal length - that helps some (this feature doesn't work on the lenses I haven't edited yet (the SP zooms)).

Might be best to allow Adapt-A-Matics, T-mounts and type-F lenses separate sections of their own to avoid confusion and make sorting/searching easier.

Yes, I've got one in hand as I type! I'll send data for it later. It's sort of a econ 28-70mm 'kit-lens' discontinued in 1991 - see the 'disco' list.

Well, you said exhaustive! There are a apparently a few that have escaped capture on that site.

Y'all 're doin' a great job with this. Of course, then there's the Sigmas, the Vivitars, the . . .

Sure would be convenient to be able to directly upload images from the 'add review' page. H2

I believe we have some miss-cataloged lens listed in the Adaptall-2 section.

Tamron SP AF 35-105/2.8 (65A)

This should be moved to the Tamron Zoom category and re-titled. (Reported discontinued in 1994)

Tamron Adaptall 90mm f/2.8 MF SP MACRO 1:1

This is the Tamron SP 90/2.8 ((72B)and should move to the Tamron Prime section and add model as (72B). (Reported discontinued in 2006)

If it's your lens, you can. In the future maybe I can make it so that non-owners of each lens can also upload photos.

Seems like the 35-105mm is an adaptall. Is that not the case? Someone advised moving it on the previous page of this thread.

Sounds good. I've fixed up the macro already.

The Adaptall database is now sorted, first by lens type, then by focal length.

We don't allow users to add new adaptall lenses- that's what this one isn't listed. Go ahead and upload it to the regular section, and we'll take care of moving it after the K-5 craze is over.

Wikipedia has this lens as f/2.8 as opposed to model 52B, which is 2.5. The lens is missing from the adaptall.org, so how do we determine what's correct?
