Wikipedia has this lens as f/2.8 as opposed to model 52B, which is 2.5. The lens is missing from the adaptall.org, so how do we determine what's correct?
I have this lens and I can confirm the maximum aperture is f2.8. I would do a review of this lens but at the moment I am preoccupied with my latest eBay acquisition with unlisted defect.

Thanks,

Ole

My tamron SP booklet that came with my 24mmF2.5 shows the following
- 90mmF2.5 model 52B with 8/6 elements/groups
- Minimum distance from focus plane 0.39meters giving 1:2 reproduction, with
- focusing throw of 44 degrees 56 minutes from infinity to 1.5 meters and 293 degrees throw from 1.5 meters to 0.39 meters for a total focusing throw of 338 degrees.
- total weight 420g
- length 66mm
- diameter 64.5mm and
- 49mm filter

trust this helps, but perhaps there is another version also

Thanks, Lowell. The lens in question was the 72B and we've got it straight now after my early miss-type.

Here's an interesting resource I hadn't seen before for the 90mm Macros:
