Lens doesn't exist

There's a Vivitar Series 1 lens in the database that I don't think exists: PentaxForums.com Third-Party Lens Review Database - Vivitar Series 1 85-210mm F3.5-5.6 Macro Lens Reviews

Ring says it does in every way as listed except the series 1 part.

I checked the database, and it looks like I added that lens myself, and quite a good while ago. Since I don't own any Third-Party lenses, I'm going to assume that I got this in a bundle off of eBay and then sold it again- it must be real!

Wishfull thinking Adam - AFAIK, there is NO Vivitar Series 1 lens with that mm range. Maybe, as Arjay says, it's a "regular" Vivitar lens.

Well since a visitar series 1 is still a vivitar, I've updated the name to just vivitar.

Adam, I know you've got better (and more important) things to do, but........... The photo looks suspiciously like a vivitar Series 1 (Type 1) lens - I *suspect* that when this was entered, there was simply a typo - however it happened, the correct 70-210mm description ended up typed as *85-210mm*.

Or, since a Vivitar 85-210mm lens apparantly does exist, maybe it looks like the Type 1??????

Look at the photo- it's definitely an 85-210mm.

Maybe it's just a generic lens branded as a Vivitar? Whatever it is, can someone enlighten me on the various Vivitar series?

Adam, gotta disagree with you - the photo is simply a Vivitar Series 1, type 1, 70-210mm that's not zoomed completely. I actually have one right next to me and it's a dead-ringer for the one in the photo.

Didn't think of that. In that case, I'm deleting it.
