I'd like to express my dissatisfaction with the fact that the immensely popular and useful thread "https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-news-rumors/115076-pentax-photokin...k-lumo-19.html" has been closed.

Someone goes off the rails, OK this happens. They've done some damage (mostly to themselves). But why must the damage be extended to other members of a very useful thread?

How about actively moderating the thread and intervening whenever it goes off-topic? Simply axing it is an easy solution but causes unnecessary damage.

My hunch is that that particular thread is going to remain closed- it was a great thread, but then it started getting derailed, and ended up being filled with garbage. I don't think there's a need to beat a dead horse. If you guys would like to continue discussion on-topic, please start a new on-topic thread. If you'd like to request re-opening of that thread, you can put in an appeal, and moderators excluding the one who took action will re-evaluate the decision.

BTW- this section generally only for technical support & suggestions. Further personal concerns should be addressed with the respective individuals who were involved in that thread.

I don't agree that it went beyond repair. If anything, it should die a natural death.
