Thanks, but the site seems still having a problem with the database. I cannot delete photos/update.

Update: Photos can be deleted, but still gives error message.

Great work getting things back up 100%. I work for a large (HUGE) company and hey, those types of problems are unavoidable...kudos to your IT folks...Ron J.

Glad to have the forum back.

The fact the forum wasn't functioning when I signed in yesterday was bothersome, but given the fact that I'd just watched Apollo 13 with my son . . . well, I decided I wouldn't worry overmuch about it. And I had faith it'd be back.

And here it is.

Thanks, Adam. (And don't be too hard on that IT guy!)

A misunderstanding about getting rid of the "core" files? ;-)

Woah that server technician must of had a minor heart attack

Luckily it wasn't

Yeah, I've been thinking of running multiple servers. A managed solution would probably work wonders in the long run.
for that definitely need to setup a NTFS share for css, attachments, photo gallery (any user end initiated upload, update, removable files) so load balanced web servers can access the data.

For backup/restorations might want to look into R1Soft CDP Linux Server Backup Software - Enterprise Edition from R1Soft - Disk to Disk Backup

Thanks for staying with it and getting it sorted.

I assume the IT Tech. is currently minus a few 'dangly bits'.

Softlayer has something called e-vault, which I'm configuring at this time for automated backups.

The technician ran "yum uninstall pcre" ... bad bad bad!
