Camera specific sub forums

This is only a suggestion and may not be possible this late in the game.

Now, although we can do a search, the search function for VBullettin sometimes sucks. Anyway, I would like to suggest separate model-specific forums for those questions or comments which are model-specific.

We don't have to go all the way back, just istD (including the L etc., 100D (including whatever versions) and 10D (including versions).

This would cut-down on the searches as well as make it faster in finding what one is looking for.

What do you think?

I think the search works fine. If Pentax released a more expensive, high end model then I could understand the wish to seperate discussion of that from people talking about the k100d. Right now I think its ok as it is

We already see a plethora of misplaced posts every day, so you're right, I think having more sub-section would make that even worse. However, once Pentax gets around to releasing a second advanced model, I might add some sub-forums for the *ist series, the K100D series, the K10D, and the new model.

Both the current system and the one above has downsides, though, so ultimately I think we should leave things as is.

After reading..

After reading everyone's input in this.. I would have to agree with the con side.. and say leave things as they are..

People are creatures of habit anyway, so why screw things up !!
