You can now delete your own threads

Hi guys,

You can now delete your own threads, in case you screw something up, posted a duplicate, etc.

Note that this only works if no others have replied. Enjoy the added flexibility!

Thanks for that option Adam. I think I may of had something to do with this for my double post earlier today and requesting you to remove it. I think it's a very good option that should save you and the moderators a lot of headaches and time.

Must have been my screwups that brought the new feature

Thanks Adam!

No, it didn't have anything to do with any body in particular. Anybody can accidentally make a double post.

That's bad...very bad! The stock vbulletin installation only supports it, unfortunately, and they never bothered to implement the other way.

That's not good enough! I want to be able to delete other people's threads too. And on any forum at any website. Fix that please!

Very funny Tom.
But interestingly, perhaps as per Murphy's law, as soon as this was announced I've noticed the most number of 'please delete' threads I've ever seen on the forum...

Otis just wants to be able to delete the threads he doesn't like............I asked him which ones those might be, and he replied any that don't have his photo in them.

Lookin' sharp Otis....maybe a little too sharp?

So, you have replied to the OP and asked why deleting the thread and all replies is bad.
Now, the thread and all replies are deleted.
You and others could spend a lot of time trying to find the thread and looking for a reply to your question but the entire thread no longer exists.

Another case could be that someone asks a question and there are some valuable replies that we all can benefit from. Now the OP decides to leave the forum but deletes all of his threads and replies first. What has happened to the valuable information that some people had bookmarked?

Indeed, it all disappears. That's the point. It's nice to have a little control over your own threads.
