"Do It Yourself" can be a valuable asset for fellow members here to peruse and share in.
As example; I may have blundered in a (somewhat) thread hijack concerning a type of shoulder mount (Pentax video forum)-- but, a DIY link seemed like a worthy contribution. Just for 'expansion' sake.
My perception is; if you can make it, you save money and learn in the process.
Saved money translates to buying more stuff too.
Certainly, there are lots of DIY places on the 'Net. Maybe put a DIY section here, Adam, which could point people to 'Net resources- especially those DIY projects that fit the Pentax abstraction.
Just an idea.
[I've made hybrid lenses, camera mounts, dollies, remote controls, sliders, spiders and articulated booms over the years- It's a lot of fun, as well as useful. Some of that DIY has enabled me to fix items (in the field) instead of aborting a shoot.]
