When posting photo would be nice if landscape and portrait were the same.
That is 1024x700 or 700x1024.

Unfortunately that would still require vertical scrolling on most screens; once the average screen height increases beyond that we'll certainly support in for attachments.

I guess I forgot that. I have three screens all at 1600x 1200 and one is set to vertical 1200 x 1600 so I have no problem.
