This here was a bug over at our end, but it's fixed now
Since a simple re-upload of the clientscript folders did the trick, I'm guessing that some non-critical Javascript file must have been corrupted during the site maintenance I performed on Friday.
Just so you know, this bug only affected IE users (statistically, about 45% of all forum visitors). IE handles popup windows a bit differently than the other browsers, and as of the release of IE7, even button-triggered browser message boxes are blocked by that evil bar at the top
Therefore, the vBulletin team implemented a new type of popup window that wouldn't be half as troublesome to the forum users.
