I think that's a different one.

If you go to this page, do any of the fonts look messed up?

Hi Adam,

No, not at this moment. All fonts are looking fine now, well only a bit fragile but that has to do with the amount of boldness I guess.

Well, now I notice that the italic font in the quoted message is looking the same as the bad readible font looked before.
But the normal text - like this one - is good readable.

For people that had issues with font embedding- does the postbit look ok in arial (which is temporarily being used right now)?
FWIW, yesterday the fonts looked funny on my netbook (XP/Chrome). Not exactly like the sample shown here - some of the verticals looked 2x as thick as they should have been.

Today with Arial they look fine

Letters are better now. Whatever you changed, worked.

Can you open that link as well and tell me if any of the fonts look messed up?

Also, do you already have Open Sans on your system by any chance?

Hi Adam,

First the link was n't there: so my comment was about this page of this Forum:

So the italic font in the quoted text is still not good readable now, the normal text is indeed better.

Ok, on XP:
Chrome 12.0
jaggy, on body copy, many (not all) verticals 2x thick. When I increase size (ctl +) the problem goes away when the strokes are all 2 pixels.

IE 8.0.6
ok

Safari 5.0.5
jaggy, like Chrome

Firefox 3.6.3
jaggy, like Chrome and Safari

hope this helps...

So it looks like it's a problem with xp's rendering of the font- but since not all users are experiencing it, it must be a setting!

It may very well be a setting. But even if it is, if enough people are having the same problem, it might be worth adjusting the site so they don't have to dig into their settings.

Well, I do not use XP, but Windows Vista, when I do resize the font (making it bigger) the problem stays the same.

What kind of setting do I have to change then if it is a setting problem according to Adam?

I think if members could read everything clear before the change, then that should be possible after any change, but that's only my opinion.
I do not like to change to another browser,

The site has been adjusted- so any further problems would just be the placebo effect:P

If you're on vista or later, try enabling cleartype as it will make all your fonts look better.
